Diary Thursday 20 March

As the team had a weekend off on Sunday and the weather forecast for this Sunday suggested it would rain, Alan decided to go in the cemetery today, a nice sunny 20 degrees (Thursday 20 March).

He decided to sieve the earth and green glass chippings dug out from graves a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately the bags contained mainly earth. 2 wheelbarrow loads of sieved earth, and two bags of green chipping. The chipping was washed to remove more debris leaving just two half bags.

The sieved earth was spread around the Hodge 13-53 grave to tidy it up, another 2 barrows of earth needed for the centre of the grave to lift it up, this will have to be done some time later.

Alan drilled out the blocked drainage holes in the Tredwin 9-28 and Hendy 9-29 graves, also cementing between the base concrete and one of the short kerbs to stop the couch grass from growing through.

Sorry no photo’s taken.
