Diary: Sunday 23 March 2025

No rain, or very little, forecast for today (23 March 2025) so not a day off as expected! Dave, Alan and Rita working today, a bit chilly and grey cloud but better than rain.

The daffodils and primroses at the front of the cemetery make a lovely picture.

Rita carried on working on the boundary hedge as last week but as Michael was unable to attend today Alan gave her a hand. He got out the mattock and dug up all the nettles and cleared a lot of the brambles.

Dave started to clear ivy off the Llewellyn grave 9-3, then moved on to Pearce 9-4, and was working on the Hill 9-5, when he was joined by Rita and Alan. All working together on the Collacott 9-6, Hawkes 9-7, Usher 13-8, Pople 13-9 and Ashill 14-10. All were working hard clearing masses of ivy and brambles from the graves with of course the odd bunch of couch grass, filling 5 dumpy bags. Only one bag was dragged across the cemetery as all too tired to pull over any more. A couple more work sessions needed to complete this area, but a good mornings work
