Diary: Wednesday 2 April 2025

As the forecast was for a warm and sunny day (2 April 2025), Alan decided he would go in the cemetery to cement the kerbs and posts on the Daw grave back in place following the work the team did on Sunday.

It was not long before the kerbs were back in position followed by the posts.

The headstone had been laid down, possibly because it was unsafe. It may pay to place to put a few bricks underneath and the top end to allow the rain to drain away. The lead lettering is in good condition. Alan felt the ground around the grave needed another barrow load of earth to finish the job off – done. With a bit of time left to spare, he cleared out the Llewellyn grave 9-3 he sieved the earth from the stone chipping, using the earth to spread around the Daw grave.
