Alan, Rita, Dave and Chris later followed by Astrid and Felix were in the cemetery today (4 May 2025).
A non working day today, walking around the cemetery looking at the jobs needed to be done, so that we can prepare for the forthcoming visit of the Wessex Water Board volunteers who will be coming in to give us a helping hand – like they did last year. We look forward to their help as last year they did a fantastic job.
After recording all the jobs that need to be tackled we sat down for a well earned tea break! Then decided that maybe we could manage to do a bit of manual work before we set off home. So Chris and Alan set too cutting back the low branches of the flowering cherry tree planted in commemoration of Dr Peter Cattermole. Astrid and Rita helping by giving directions of where to trim next, Rita helped the boys gather the cut branches into a neat pile.

All set off for home to rest up for the full day of work with Wessex Water in the week.
Although photos of before and after of the tree trimming were taken sadly they were blurred so seems we have a problem with the camera or the photographer.
