The Davis memorial was repaired in the Summer 2017 by Fine Memorials for the Friends.
The Davis memorial remembers a family of prosperous cabinet makers and upholsterers. Their memorial was a medium-sized marble cross with an angel holding a wreath. The inscription reads:
3/415 In Loving Memory of Perry James John the eldest son of Joseph and Florence Davis who fell asleep February 4th 1903 aged 22 years. Also of the above named Florence Elizabeth Davis who passed away February 20th 1931 aged 73 years. Also of the above named Joseph Murlis Davis who entered into rest May 10th 1932 aged 80 years.
The Friends volunteers had discovered the angel during work in the previous year while tidying up this area. We decided to have this memorial repaired as we had already had all the other angels in the cemetery done in previous years. Sadly the sculpture had been smashed, but Fine Memorial managed to glue and pin this back together and reassemble the whole thing.
