Conservation

This index explores the various conservation efforts within the Wembdon Road Cemetery. Follow a link using the picture boxes below. The section titled 'exploring the cemetery' has various small articles on features within the cemetery that may be of interest when you come to visit. This includes short articles on particular memorial types, before and after image galleries, and will shortly include articles on the flora and fauna in the cemetery. The section titled 'memorial conservation' has a series of articles looking at the repair of lots of memorials in the cemetery since the Friends formed. These are grouped into the years in which the memorials were repaired, from 2011 through to now. If you have a family memorial within the cemetery that might be in need of some attention, be sure to get in contact. The section entitled 'cemetery diary' follows the weekly efforts of the Friends volunteers within the cemetery, doing all sorts of work, from simple tidying to heavier work on stones or brambles. Be sure to check back regularly to see the latest updates.
