Apart from all the hard work the Friends achieve they also enjoy organising a small number of events each year. These events provide a social venue for the members themselves and also help to raise the profile of cemetery and the work of all the volunteers. These events also give us a platform to invite and meet others who might take an interest in the cemetery and become members. These Events are open to everyone to attend and there is sometimes a retiring collection at the end of proceedings. There are records of other events in our members section.
2020
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus Lockdown, all events have been postponed for the time being. Further details will follow as we are able. Meanwhile, as you are not able to come to use, we can come to you: please find below a series of little videos exploring the history of burial in Bridgwater, and on the Wembdon Road Cemetery.
