Monday 29 January
Today Alan went in the cemetery and worked on the Blackmore grave 13.2 started a few days ago. The kerbs and posts were cemented back together, the centre slab that had pieces missing was repaired with concrete. Before he left for home he cleaned the green chipping for the Greenslade/Durant grave.

Thursday 1 February
Alan and Rita in the cemetery today as the sun was shining and they needed the exercise. First job was to put the green chipping in the Greenslade/Durant grave 10-69.

Next job was to trim the holly tree on the cross roads by Map 10 and Map 11 where the holly tree was hitting the heads of people as they passed. A dumpy bag was filled with the cuttings.
They then moved over to section N where a number of graves are overgrown with grass and earth.
It was decided to tackle the Pocock grave N-25 it had sunk badly one side and was almost covered over.
The grass was cleared from around the outside edge and uncovered granite kerbs and posts. A lot more work to be done to cement the stones back together. It was hard work but the result justified the effort.
Photo’s taken covered their work completed today.
