Just Alan and Dave working in the cemetery today (Sunday 17 March) a nice sunny day but pretty wet underfoot.
A few weeks ago the neighbours in Wembdon Road had very kindly started to cut back the ‘new hedge’, so today Alan decided before it started shooting out he would finish the job with the help of Dave. Another good and necessary job done.
They then moved over to the Letherby grave 14-4 which was another grave they started on a few months ago before all the rain. This had been cleaned out but the inner concrete section had broken in half and had sunk in the centre. So to make it looking good again the boys raised the broken parts so that they were nice and level. Still a lot more work to be done, the old joints cleaned off and the kerbs and posts to be cemented back together. Well done to Dave and Alan, hopefully the girls will be back next week to assist.
A visitor came in looking to locate her grandfathers grave, Alan took what details she had and will give Rita the job of seeing what we can find out for her.
