As the weather forecast is not good for the weekend, Alan thought he would go in the cemetery today (21 August) and start to dig out the ant hills, grass and weeds from the long double grave of Bale M76 & M90. Looking at our records this is a grave that seems to have been missed before as this is the first time it has been worked on and cleared to expose the kerbs and crazy paving style slabs inside the grave. Quite unusual as we have not seen one like this before. Still a lot more work to be done as the kerbs are loose and have been pushed out of position. Not sure at present how best to bring back the crazy paving pattern as most of the surface is in poor condition.
While Alan was working the Town Council boys came to take away the 40+ filled dumpy bags and brought the empty ones back. Well done boys, you probably saw several piles all ready to start filling the bags again!
