Dave, Michael, Chris and Alan in the cemetery with Astrid and Felix visiting (13 April 2025). Alan was busy cementing the kerbs of the Hawkes 9-7 grave back together, the grave he worked on last week, now completed.

Alan and Chris worked together on the red granite Hill grave 9-9 taking apart, cleaning off the old cement on the end of the kerbs and post, putting back into place ready for cementing on another day.
Michael and Dave trimmed the large bush next to the neighbours fence at Provident Place end of the cemetery cutting back the brambles that were growing out of the bush, filling a couple of dumpy bags. The boys took over four dumpy bags to the storage area, a long way to go and very tiring!
After Michael left, Dave started work on the Culverwell grave 9-25, it was completely taken over by weeds grass and ivy, all the kerbs and posts had been disturbed and out of position. At least now the team can see what work needs to be done, a lot of work to get it back into position.

Chris had cleaned some of the bags of chipping at home and brought them in and replaced them in the Vyse 13-31 and Storey 13-32.

Before leaving for home, Chris and Alan took the remaining bags of stone chipping and washed them by the tap in the cemetery, unfortunately only small amounts of chipping could be recovered, only enough to cover two possibly three graves.
Chris had been in the cemetery during the week and drilled out the holes that had been filled with debris to allow rain water to drain away in a number of graves with concrete centre slabs.
Thanks Chris.
