The rain has stopped at last, Astrid, Alan and Rita set to work in the cemetery today (16 November 2025), a bit chilly but they soon warmed up. Before Astrid arrived, Alan and Rita took 2 full dumpy bags over to join the rest of the rubbish bags, on their way they picked up quite a bit of rubbish. So, with a fair bit picked up they got two empty sacks and walked around the cemetery and filled both. They were put next to the car to bring home but forgot to put them in the car! So they will be picked up sometime in the week.
When walking around the cemetery they came across John’s grandparents grave which was full of plantain seedlings growing to a good pulling out size, so although they forgot to take a before photo they took a half-done photo. John used to be a member of our team always with his trusty shiny spade, sadly due to his age he is no longer able to help.

Astrid arrived and after a chat they set to work in Plan B focusing on several graves that needed new photos and of course they all needed attention to make them look weed free again.

They weeded and cleaned the B22 Holloway grave, the B29 Small, B28 Lane, B27 Lovibond and B70 Wells graves taking photos of them all. Although not on the to-do list the B36 Millard and B26 Batten were also weeded.

Our list of 14 graves requiring work and photos is now down to 9, being ambitious this should be done in two weeks! Shame we started on the easiest first!
Another good work session, hoping it has stopped raining on Sundays for a while so the team can get stuck back in a work routine.
Hopefully we will get another grass cut before winter sets in as the grass is looking lush, primroses are out and everything is growing.
