As it was a nice day and he had not been in the cemetery on Sunday as taking a short holiday, Alan decided he should spend a few hours working in the cemetery (18 April 2024). Rita said she was far too busy!
The team had uncovered the Pippin grave 14-8 Plot 26 on Sunday, Alan felt he would level the kerbs with pads and cement them back together. Unfortunately most of the kerbs were broken and one of the end kerbs had a piece missing. The job went well and the kerbs were soon back up, just a little more work left to repair the missing piece.
Alan had a chat with two police officers who were having a look around on official business, and a gentleman with two lovely dogs stopped for a natter. Alan was well pleased with his efforts and nice to have some sunshine on his back.
