Perfect weather for cementing today (26 July 2026) plenty of cloud and not too hot. Rita unable to join Alan in the cemetery today so he went in on his own. He worked on the Dodden 9-42 grave that he worked on last week when he cleared all the old cement off the posts and kerbs. No Chris today so he had to mix up the cement himself, he then had to take apart the kerbs and posts, to ensure there was no stones or dirt where the kerbs were laying and got to work cementing everything back together again. Taking photographs as he went. (probably stopped for a rest as well!). To prevent the cement drying too quickly he covered the grave with two large dumpy bags.
This took most of the morning, as he cleared away his tools, he noticed the nearby bramble bush had new long lengths of bramble growing out into the walkway, so he got out the lobbers and cut them back. After that he had a good look around to ensure he had packed everything up and left for home.
