Cemetery Records

Here you will find historical information about the cemetery and its records. This includes the burial registers for the Church of England (St Mary's) side of the burial ground, and the Dissenter side (Unitarian, Methodist, Wesleyan, Mariner, Congregationalist and others), as well as additional registers relating to the Workhouse. We have digitised a large quantity of administrative records relating to the non-conformist committee, which may be of help in your genealogical research. We have also accumulated numerous records and documents relating to the overall history of the burial ground, which may help give you an idea of what the place was like at the time your ancestors were laid to rest here. Click on a link below to explore more, and don't be afraid to contact us if you require more assistance or advice. Be sure to also check out the memorial archive, as well as our conservation efforts to restore this place to its former grandeur.
