New for 2022, Critters is a set of imaginative short stories about the wildlife of the cemetery, composed by our former secretary and long-time supporter, Bernice Lashbrook. Follow the light-hearted trials and tribulations of the likes of Stan Spider, Ricky Robin, Hugh Hedgehog and more, as their lives are changed by the arrival of the humans who start tackling the neglect of the overgrown cemetery.
Among these stories are woven snapshots of the real-life flora and fauna taken by the team, along with scenes of the Friends’ volunteers slowly transforming the old burial ground over ten years of hard work.
This booklet consists of 70 pages in full glossy colour. All proceeds from the sale of this will go directly to the Friends to support our conservation work in the cemetery, both heritage and natural. Support us, amuse yourself and help the critters: everyone wins!
