Just a few pictures from Astrid.

Astrid took some pictures this morning of the cemetery after the overnight snow which had then froze. Already melting away with the sun though!

Dave, Astrid, Alan and Rita in the cemetery today. First stop was to look at the Norris B 69 grave, as a relative had been in contact about its possible repair. The area was cleared to see where and how the headstone had been fixed upright, and photos were taken to send to Fine Memorials.

Astrid, Rita, Alan Dave and Chris in the cemetery today, they were joined by Dan, Rita and Alan’s grandson who was staying with them for a few days. A gold star for Chris as he returned to the cemetery last Sunday afternoon and cleared up all the bottles etc. that were left around the cemetery

Dave Chris and Astrid in the cemetery this morning as Alan and Rita were in there final days of self isolating – they will be back next week, weather permitting of course. A grey and overcast day but ideal for tidying graves in Section 13 and section 9. Dave relayed on his way in there

Another nice sunny day for Alan, Rita, Dave, Astrid and Chris to work in the cemetery. Today Alan worked on the Hodge 13-53 grave that Dave, Chris and Astrid cleared last week. Once the ivy had been removed it was identified that the posts and kerbs were out of position and needed to be moved

The centre slab was levered back into place and the kerbs and posts cemented back in position. Dave left Alan to finish off tidying around the Sandy

On Friday Alan went in the cemetery to work on the Dodden 9-42 in preparation for cementing the kerbs and posts back into position. All the old cement was removed and everything slotted into place perfectly. So today work started straight away
